Detailed Itinerary of the 7 Days Rwanda Safari
Day 1: City Tour and Transfer to Akagera National Park
Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you are picked up by our driver who transfers you on a City Tour around Kigali to the various Genocide memorials, National Museums, National Market etc. After your city Tour, break off for lunch then later transfer to Akagera National Park. When you reach here, check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge. Meal Plan: F/B.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on Lake Ihema
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Park to enjoy a Game Drive along the various tracks watching various wildlife species wandering around their natural vegetation habitat. After the Game Drive, break off for lunch then later proceed on a remarkable Boat Cruise along Lake Ihema where you watch crocodiles and Hippo as well as water birds. After your cruise, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge. Meal Plan: F/B.
Day 3: Sports Fishing in Akagera National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to enjoy Sports Fishing along Lake Shakani in Akagera National Park. You should transfer with Fishing Gear to enjoy every moment while fishing or hire it. After Sports Fishing, proceed back to your lodge/ Campsite for Dinner and Overnight. Lake Shakani Campsite. Meal Plan: F/B.
Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage transfer to Volcanoes National Park a journey that offers views of the green terrain and birds. O reaching the Park check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Meal Plan: F/B.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Wake up early have breakfast then later transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a skilled park ranger penetrate the forest to track the Mountain Gorilla Group allocated for 3-5 hours and when you meet them, only one hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories.
After Gorilla Trekking, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Meal Plan: F/B.
Day 6: Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Golden Monkeys in their natural forest vegetation habitat then later in groups with a skilled ranger guide, penetrate the forest to track the Golden Monkeys for 2-4 hours and when you meet them, take numerous photos to keep for memories. After tracking the Golden Monkeys, proceed back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Meal Plan: F/B.
Day 7: Departure to Kigali
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, transfer to the Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
