Lake Nakuru National Park was named after Lake Nakuru close Nakuru Town in Kenya. The Lake is famously known for its massive nesting of pink flamingos along the shores. These are the most prominent tourist attraction however there are other attractions like the black Rhinos as they take this as a habitat.

The park borders 12.1 kms on the Southern edge of the Soysambu conservancy which shows future extension of the habitat for the Rhinos.

Today, the Park inhabits more than 25 eastern black rhinoceros, 70 southern white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck as well as lions, cheetahs and leopards then vast pythons that inhabit the dense woodlands.

Other Birds you can watch in the park include; African fish eagle, Goliath heron, hamerkop, pied kingfisher and Verreaux’s eagle.
