Detailed Itinerary of the 4 Days Chimpanzees & Gorilla Tour
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Forest
On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport you are welcomed and transferred by a company driver to Bwindi Forest National Park. En-route enjoy views of the green vegetation, birds as well as have lunch at Agip Hotel Mbarara. After lunch proceed on your journey to Bwindi Forest and on reaching the Park check-in your lodge/ hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge, Haven Lodge Buhoma, Buhoma Community Rest Camp.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Gorillas by a skilled Park Ranger. After briefing transfer into the Forest to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours depending on the current location of the Gorillas and when you meet them only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories.
After Tracking the primates transfer back to have Dinner and Overnight at your lodge/ hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the thick green Kibale Forest National Park located a few kilometers off Fort Portal. En-route enjoy views of Birds, green terrain and baboons as well as have lunch. On reaching the Park check-in your lodge/ hotel then later you can go on an optional guided Nature Walk then later return for Dinner and Overnight. Primates’ Lodge Kibale, Chimpanzee View Guesthouse.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Departure
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Chimpanzees then later you transfer to penetrate the forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours and when you meet them take numerous photos to keep for memories. After tracking the Chimpanzees get your luggage and transfer to Kampala/ Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
